Welcome

Your new website is ready, Hanaa.

We've built your website from scratch with a fully custom design that reflects the warmth, luxury, and expertise of The Priory Room. Every page is mobile-friendly, loads quickly, and is built so that you — or we — can keep it updated with ease.

This document walks you through every page on the site, explains how your Services and booking links work, and shows you exactly where to go in WordPress to make changes to text, images, and contact details.

How Your Services & Booking Links Work

Your treatments don't use an online checkout — they link directly to your booking platform.

Each service page has a "Book now" button (or multiple buttons for different durations). These buttons open your external booking system in a new tab. You control where each button links from inside WordPress.

1
A visitor browses your Services page (/services/) They see all your treatments organised by category, with a photo, name, and price. They click "View Treatment" on one that interests them.
2
They land on the individual Service page (e.g. /services/signature-facial/) They see the full treatment description, duration, discomfort level, downtime, recommended sessions, and a photo gallery — all the information they need to feel confident.
3
They click "Book now" or choose a variation (e.g. "60 min – £90") This opens your external booking platform in a new tab. We've set each service's button to link to the correct booking page for that specific treatment.
4
To update a booking link — go to: WordPress Admin → Services → click the service → find "Service Details" The "Booking URL" field is where you paste the link. For services with multiple durations (e.g. 60 min and 90 min), each variation has its own separate booking link in the "Booking Options" section below.

Editing Content — The Customiser

Go to WordPress Admin → Appearance → Customise to change any of the following without touching code. You'll see a live preview on the right as you type.

How to Update Your Instagram Reels

1
Go to the Instagram post or reel you want to feature on your website. Open it on instagram.com (on a desktop browser).
2
Click the three dots (···) → "Embed" A box will appear with embed code. You only need the URL inside src="…". Copy that URL.
3
Go to Appearance → Customise → Instagram Section Paste the URL into "Instagram embed URL 1" (or 2 or 3) and click Publish.
